Die Cor Caroli-stelsel is ’n dubbelster met die Bayer-naam Alpha Canum Venaticorum (afgekort as α CVn). Die Internasionale Astronomiese Unie (IAU) gebruik die naam "Cor Caroli" spesifiek vir die helderste van die twee sterre.[9] Alpha Canum Venaticorum is die helderste ligpunt in die noordelike sterrebeeld Jaghonde (Canes Venatici).
